Big Kahuna Tiki Huts recently completed a tiki hut and a tiki bar in the backyard of one of our customers in Pembroke Pines. Pembroke Pines is located in Broward County, Florida and is the second most populous city in the county. It is estimated that the American Indians inhabited the area over 4,000 years ago.
Big Kahuna Tiki Huts has carried on the tradition of building authentic tiki huts (a/k/a "chickee huts) built by the Indians hundreds of years ago. The main posts of the tiki hut is cypress wood, one of the most durable woods for use in the tropical and subtropical weather around Florida. Fresh palm fronds are used to top the tiki hut roof.
Our customer had Big Kahuna build them a 20x13 foot tiki hut using four main posts. In addition, under the completed tiki hut, Big Kahuna built an 18 foot U-shaped tiki bar. Built into the tiki bar were four custom designed hand carved tiki gods. The tiki hut and tiki bar were built just in time to enjoy the "lazy days of summer."
